Several years ago, our club realized there was a need to provide goal keepers with position specific training. The goal keeper is one of the most important players on the field - they are the last line of defense and the first line of attack. To play the position well requires special skills and training. Goal keeping techniques and tactics are very important. This is especially true at younger age levels. As a result, PSC South hired a goal keeper coach who works with all players. The program provides a weekly training session in addition to team practices. Training sessions are offered in the Fall & Spring. This program has helped improve goal keeping throughout the club and is highly recommended for any player that wants to be a goalkeeper. Most importantly, there are no additional costs to attend goal keeper training!
